About The Position

This position performs computer aided design duties for the Engineering Department of the Grand River Dam Authority as assigned by the Drafting Supervisor, T&D Engineering. The Electrical drafting technician is responsible for the coordination, quality, and timely delivery of drawings and documentation. This role ensures compliance with GRDA standards and project requirements while supporting engineering, project management, and construction teams.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 years' experience as a draftsman with AutoCAD.
• Must have a valid Oklahoma driver's license.
• Functional competency with personal computers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products. Specifically: Teams, Excel, Project and Word.
• Must be capable of methodical analysis of complex technical problems.
• Must possess and demonstrate excellent writing and composition skills.
• Must demonstrate proficiency with electronic drafting tools such as AutoCAD
• Must possess excellent math skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• PLS-Cadd experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts using AutoCAD and RasterCAD software.
• Work from rough sketches, specifications, and calculations provided by Electrical Engineers and convert them into accurate drawings.
• Modify existing plans based on design changes, client feedback, or field conditions.
• Follow GRDA drafting standards, procedures, and best practices.
