About The Position

AECOM is seeking a CAD Technician II to join their CCR team in the Franklin, TN office. This role will involve working on a variety of projects across AECOM's Environment, Water, and Transportation business lines. The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse team of technical leaders and contribute to delivering professional consulting services to key clients. This position requires strong technical skills, the ability to develop relationships with team members and clients, and effective communication skills with project teams, clients, site personnel, and office management. The role involves working both independently and as part of a project team, with a commitment to team success, rigorous application of safety policies, and effective management of technical, cost, and schedule elements of project delivery, all within the AECOM Quality Management System.

Requirements

  • HS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid U.S Driver's License
  • As a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Design, Environmental Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working in an environmental consulting firm
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, and OpenRoads.
  • Experience with survey and grading design.
  • Experience with REVIT.
  • Experience with BIM. Able to produce construction documents in BIM environments from start to finish with limited assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Works under direct supervision performing moderately complex technical work utilizing instructions, drawings, sketches and results from computer systems and schematics.
  • May be involved in training and supervising technical personnel.
  • May perform some data entry.
  • Perform as a resource for CAD drafting/modeling at the project level.
  • Prepare high-quality design deliverables.
  • Perform CAD drafting/modeling in a manner which adheres to accepted engineering practices and standards, as well as company and client standards.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and deployment of CAD drafting/modeling and survey standards on an office level.
  • Working closely with design professionals at a project level to produce deliverables with minimal supervision.
