About The Position

LINX is looking for a CAD Technician to develop and update technical drawings and as-builts using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam. As a member of the Engineering team, you will prepare project documentation that will include shop drawings, as-built drawings and other technical drawings as required. Applicants should have experience with CAD software. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed computer-aided design (CAD) drawings related to low voltage electrical systems as directed by the Engineering team. Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or coursework in CAD, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD preferred; others a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or hands-on CAD experience
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO)
  • Experience with 3D modeling or BIM tools

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam)
  • Interpret sketches, specifications, and design instructions to produce accurate drawings
  • Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
  • Assist with design changes and updates based on feedback
  • Ensure drawings comply with company standards and industry regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
  • Perform basic calculations and measurements as needed
