This role works closely with designers and drafters to help prepare CAD drawings and ensure project information is organized and accurate.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, Construction, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–1 years of experience in design, drafting, or CAD (internships or coursework acceptable)
• Basic understanding of residential design or construction concepts
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple small tasks with guidance
• Willingness to ask questions and learn new tools and processes

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software with guidance from senior team members
• Help update drawings based on feedback from the design team
• Support the team in meeting project deadlines and communicate progress as needed
• Learn basic residential construction methods and design standards
• Review drawings for simple errors and make corrections with guidance
• Assist in preparing presentation sheets and layouts
• Organize and maintain project files and drawings
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive team environment
• Show willingness to learn and improve skills over time
