About The Position
HM Richards is hiring a CAD Operator with SolidWorks experience for its Guntown, Mississippi location. The role uses SolidWorks and other relevant tools to create, modify, and manage precise technical drawings and schematics for engineering, manufacturing, and product development. Responsibilities
- Design and draft technical drawings and specifications for products, components, or structures using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, and other data to assess factors affecting designs and procedures.
- Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or improve production processes.
- Prepare detailed schematics and blueprints to guide installation, construction, or manufacturing.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, and other professionals to discuss and resolve design details.
- Convert rough sketches and specifications into detailed drawings.
- Ensure designs comply with company standards and client requirements.
- Manage and maintain CAD files, including updates and modifications.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of product designs.
- Create pattern templates for distribution to the departments that need them for production.
- Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
