About The Position
Auer Steel & Heating Supply Co. is a wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies, operating since 1940. Known for customer service and quality products, the company is currently hiring a CAD Operator to work in their Milwaukee, WI location. This position is best suited for an organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual who is looking for a career within a well-established company.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in CAD or HVAC or 1-2 years equivalent experience in Auto CAD or other 2D modeling systems.
Responsibilities
- Draft HVAC plans, piping diagrams, control diagrams and refrigeration diagrams under the direct supervision of the Design Engineer or Salesperson.
- Backup Design Engineers in their absence to answer customer questions.
- Prepare plans, loads and appropriate paperwork for submittal to local and State agencies.
- Prepare inspection packets for all submitted design projects.
- Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team-oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
- Travel to architects, contractors or government agencies to pick up or drop off plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
