About The Position

Goldbelt Integrated Logistics Services (GbILS) provides four specific areas of expertise—Logistics Engineering, Measurement Sciences, Program Management, and Technical Support—serving the scientific, technical, and engineering needs of clients. GbILS values its innovative thinking and service-oriented team who provide services for a variety of federal government and commercial clients. We are looking for a CAD Operator III.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of machine programming language and standard operations consistent with HAAS and other similar controllers.
  • Proficient in the use of multi-controllers used to support programming of specific machined parts, consistent with complexity and critical dimensional status as a main function.
  • Proficient in the use and development of CAD/ CAM software packages directly related to mechanical parts that use industrial machining equipment.
  • Proficient in the use of machining practices and manufacturing techniques required in producing blueprints for metal parts manufacturing.
  • Proficient in the use of 3-5 axis program language on CNC Turning Centers/Milling Centers and other related automated machining equipment.
  • Insight ME10 CREO-2D Drafting FARO Cam 10 Geo MAGIC Solid Works Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Minimum of an AAS in Industrial Manufacturing Engineering Technology or a minimum of one (1) years’ experience in CAD Operating/Drafting or three (3) years’ experience in an equivalent field.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate measuring machine and laser scanning operations for critical dimensions
  • Provide complete and accurate 2D technical drawings.
  • Create 3D parts from existing drawings and/or accurate measurements of samples.
  • Provide CNC programming for water jet cutter.
  • Provide file translations for various formats for communication between software programs.
  • Provide applicable 3D module packages to include parts, assemblies, sheet metal and manufacturing for each assigned project.
  • Assist in the development of artwork, 2D drawings, 3D models for the manufacture of decals, stencils, faceplates, plaques, etc. for USCG Aircraft and ALC customers.
  • Produce items of artwork using laser engravers, cutting tools, printers etc.
