About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Engineering, Mechanical, CAD, and Manufacturing Specialist to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on, hourly position responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, multi-level bills of material, and assembly instructions. This role requires strong practical experience in SolidWorks, familiarity with structured MRP environments, and the ability to work directly on the shop floor to verify parts, review manufacturing kits, and identify missing or incorrect components before and during production.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks.
  • Experience in generating and maintaining multi-level BOMs.
  • Experience working within an MRP/ERP system (SyteLine experience preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, assembly, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Technical training or equivalent practical experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and manufacturing documentation is required.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience creating 3D models and drawings.

  • Due to the nature of our aerospace programs, this position requires compliance with U.S. export control regulations. Candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by federal law).

  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems and engineering documentation in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 3D part and assembly models using SolidWorks.
  • Generate detailed manufacturing drawings, including GD&T as required for production.
  • Develop and maintain complete multi-level, indentured Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Enter and manage engineering data within Infor SyteLine.
  • Structure assemblies using proper indentured parts models within the MRP system.
  • Create clear assembly instructions and shop work instructions.
  • Support the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and drawing revisions.
  • Work directly with manufacturing and stockroom personnel to: Review manufacturing kits. Identify missing, incorrect, or obsolete components. Validate parts against drawings and BOMs. Support the first article and production builds.
  • Understand machining, fabrication, and assembly processes to ensure manufacturability.
