About The Position

EGS is seeking an experienced CAD Electrical Designer to support our client located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This is a long term (3-4 years) contract position that comes with top competitive rates, great benefits and government Per Diem for living expenses for those that qualify.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent.
1-5 years of experience working with AutoCAD Electrical software is required.
Demonstrated experience with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's).
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to pass a drug screening examination.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical software.

Responsibilities

Prepare Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) design drawings to support complex facility equipment and system integrations.
Utilize AutoCAD Electrical software to prepare drawings to project specifications.
Coordinate work with that of others in discipline groups and other discipline groups on the project.
Prepare complete information for design details that can be distributed to other design or draft personnel for completion.
Understand project scope as presented within a specific discipline.
Ensure that designs are consistent with project technical requirements and scope.
Work to project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures.
Produce electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel layout drawings.
