Requirements

Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience is a plus).
Strong understanding of civil and structural construction drawings.
Ability to read and interpret DOT standards, plans, and specifications.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience in civil or heavy highway construction drafting.
Experience with structural steel detailing is a strong plus.
Familiarity with bridge construction, shoring, or temporary support designs.
Experience with 3D modeling tools such as Revit or Navisworks.

Responsibilities

Prepare and revise 2D and 3D construction drawings using AutoCAD.
Develop site plans, bridge layouts, utility details, erosion control plans, temporary works, and construction staging diagrams.
Assist estimators and engineers in quantity takeoffs, plan interpretation, and means-and-methods drawings.
Produce as-built drawings, logistics plans, and visual aids to support proposals and project execution.
Maintain organized and up-to-date CAD files, templates, and drawing standards.
Conduct occasional site visits to gather field data and verify dimensions.
Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure drawing accuracy and real-world constructability.
