About The Position
Convergint is seeking a full-time Drafter to prepare system installation drawings from engineered documentation for construction or permit. The Drafter prepares as-built drawings from onsite markups and assembles drawing package sets and data sheets for submittal or permit. Work may range from routine to more complex. The role is part of a dynamic team and supports Convergint’s customer-service mission and colleague-first culture.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, including layers, xrefs, dimensioning, and blocks.
- Strong skills in reading and understanding architectural and electrical layouts and diagrams.
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure, maintaining awareness of customer needs and seeking to meet them without prompting.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of CAD experience or related undergraduate experience.
Nice To Haves
- Basic understanding of low-voltage systems, instrumentation and testing, or P&ID.
- Basic understanding of access control, video surveillance, intrusion, intercom, building automation, or mass notification systems.
