About The Position

Good Earth Tools is looking for an energetic self-starter who is looking to grow their drafting skills in an exciting environment. The ideal candidate will have formal CAD drafting training and previous experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD. This position will focus on our heavy equipment division, but will support all divisions and have exposure to all product lines. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate!

Requirements

A minimum of an Associates Degree or Certificate in Drafting or a closely related field is required
Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other design software
Must be well organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to work 40 hours per week and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record
Must be a team player with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches
Utilizes SolidWorks and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings
Coordinates and consults with engineers to complete projects
Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents utilizing SolidWorks
Completes engineering drawing changes as directed by Engineers on mechanical drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematics
Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
Perform other duties as assigned
