CAD Drafter
About The Position
Dynalectric Company San Diego is hiring an entry level technically savvy CAD Drafter to be part of our team. Dynalectric uses the latest CAD technologies such as AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Navisworks and Bluebeam for BIM coordination and shop drawings, low voltage systems, drawings, and instrument and control design. The position may offer career advancement to an individual who possesses or shows good ability to learn and understand the following: Production of electrical installation drawings, Low voltage systems design, 3D modeling, CAD content development, CAD software troubleshooting
Requirements
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT, NAVISworks, Lotus notes and other electrical, technical, or construction programs.
- Familiarity with project management/document control software.
- Familiarity with construction/financial software packages.
- Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism and commitment to company values.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail.
- Must possess ability to manage and supervise personnel.
- Must build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers, and customers.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
Nice To Haves
- Solid understanding of AutoCAD, professional training preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate with a team
- Revit and Navisworks is a plus
- Bluebeam experience is a plus
- Basic use of email, Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office
- Blueprint reading or past commercial electrical construction experience is a plus but not necessary
Responsibilities
- Assisting CAD and Electrical Detailing depts. in 2d drawing production
- Red line markups and as-built in CAD software and Bluebeam
- Scanning and printing large format documents
