About The Position
The primary objective of this position is to produce quality, accurate working documents, maps, staking sheets, common drafting practices and other documents in a timely manner that exceed client expectations. This role involves transforming initial rough drawings into working documents, ensuring adherence to specifications, updating maps, maintaining files, and producing plots. The CAD Drafter will also interact with clients and assist in creating other documents.
Requirements
- AAS in CAD Drafting or a similar field
- 1-3 years of experience in drafting
- Ability to operate Auto CAD, Auto CAD Map, Cadtel, Visio and Elation Systems
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the telecommunications field
Responsibilities
- Transform initial rough drawings, staking sheets, information, specifications, etc. into working documents as directed by client or engineer
- Assure drawings adhere to applicable specifications, standards, and/or client instructions
- Update maps and staking sheets as needed
- Maintain neat and accurate files both electronic and physical
- Produce plots and photocopies of final drawings
- Hand draft as needed
- Maintain drafting equipment and supplies
- Work directly with client as directed to assure a clear understanding of expectations
- Assure professional demeanor at all times when interacting with clients, peers, and supervisors
- Assist with creating other documents, books, surveys, etc. as directed
