About The Position

Apex Companies is a fast-growing engineering and environmental consulting firm seeking a talented CAD Designer to support its engineering teams in the Northeast. The selected candidate will provide support on projects and will be responsible for performing drafting duties for projects with varying degrees of complexity. This is a hybrid position and can be located in any of our Greater Boston area offices.

Requirements

Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of relevant drafting/design experience required.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Plant 3D, or similar 3D modeling and drafting software.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.

Nice To Haves

Experience with municipal infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater, site utilities, structural layouts) preferred.

Responsibilities

Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Plant 3D, or similar design software.
Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate design documents.
Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards, municipal specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain organized project files, revise drawings as needed and assist in preparing documentation packages for client and regulatory approvals.
Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
Stay current with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
