About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is a leading innovator in world-class forklift and material handling equipment and technology. As one of the world’s largest lift truck manufacturers, we are committed to providing the customer with the safest, most efficient and ergonomic lift truck possible to lower their total cost of ownership. This role produces computer aided design (CAD) drawings and collaborates with sales staff in the design of projects involving warehouse products. The CAD Designer will assist in determining and verifying building measurements and other related information required for proper design. They will also create alternative designs to enhance space utilization, increase product flow, improve efficiency, and reduce cost. Collaboration with sales staff and customers regarding required changes to existing drawings is a key part of this role. The CAD Designer will meet with sales staff and customers at customer locations, visit sites before, during and after equipment installation to respond to installation questions and to ensure proper installation. They will also work closely with the Warehouse Solutions Coordinator regarding the scheduling and progress of material delivery, assist in the coordination of equipment required for installation and perform coordinator functions as necessary.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design or at least 5 years experience with technical drawing in a business environment.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• Occasional travel required.
