This role involves preparing and updating design drawings using AutoCAD, coordinating design requirements with construction and production managers, maintaining project drawings, and improving the company's CAD design standards. The position also requires training on and applying structural design standards, learning industry standards for CAD Designs, coordinating with project teams to meet deliverables and timelines, developing designs in line with RCG standards, and maintaining administrative aspects of data storage and file structure.

Requirements

Associate's degree required.
Proficient in CAD software, including AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of modular housing construction.
Experience creating detailed architectural foundation and floor plans, elevations, and cross sections.
Experience coordinating MEP elements on floorplans.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Excellent organizational skill in file and document management.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Drafting preferred.
Experience with Bluebeam Revu, preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare new or update existing design drawings for various projects using software such as AutoCAD per the Production Manager, Construction Manager, or Client direction.
Facilitate and coordinate the design requirements with the construction and production managers to update drawings as required.
Maintain project drawings as needed, with requisite updates and annotations across all the phases of the projects.
Responsible for all managing and revising all project drawing deliverables.
Maintain and improve the company CAD design.
Train on and apply various structural design standards as they pertain to the projects at hand.
Continue to learn industry standards for CAD Designs and apply them to design drawings.
Coordinate with project teams to achieve the committed deliverables and timelines.
Develop and deliver designs in line with RCG standards: creative, clear, accurate, understandable and legible.
Maintain the administrative aspects of data storage and file structure.
Maintain organized files and documentation for easy reference.
Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards and project specifications.
