About The Position

Shannon Global Energy Solutions is seeking a CAD Designer to execute and complete assigned design projects on time and in line with customer expectations. The designer communicates project activity to help maintain deadlines and works alongside an assigned Project Manager, the Design Center Manager, and the Sales Department. Work includes interpreting field drawings, creating dimensional drawings, and using the company’s MRP system to ensure project deliverables are accurate.

The role also involves understanding each project’s terms, commitments, customer expectations, and design schedules; managing customer follow-ups, project checklists, and rework; providing support for post-shipment product non-compliance; and meeting required completion dates. The position requires site work and travel throughout the United States and Canada, up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience using AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Computer software skills in MS Office.
• Hand mechanical drawing skills for interpreting field take-off information.
• Physically fit for site work.
• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada up to 25% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred two-year college degree in engineering technology design, such as Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Technology or an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.).
• Construction site experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD software.
