As a CAD Designer you will work with departments to maintain the company’s flexible manufacturing process, which includes: creating and maintaining BOM’s/Routings, create/maintain g-code for non-modified product, program and update programs to manufacture modifiable products, and maintain relevant master data. Self-driven ability to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with others to implement. Analyze and interpret customer submitted drawings, create 2d and 3d CAD drawings for fabrication, and create/ maintain G-Code for custom hangers. Use product knowledge and production knowledge to determine cost for custom hangers.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or AutoCad/AutoDesk Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge in NC/GCode preferred.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in SAP preferred.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Excel (Advanced) preferred.
  • 1-3 years CAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer submitted hangers for production feasibility.
  • Use production knowledge to determine cost and lead times.
  • Create shop drawings and NC programs using CAD and NC Software to aid in production.
  • Maintain all necessary documents for custom quotes and jobs.
  • Support all departments in the process of designing and producing items needed to maintain production capabilities.
  • Answer technical questions from the inside and outside sales force using product/production knowledge.
  • Work with various production support departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Work with engineering and sales management to improve manufacturing and pricing accuracy.
  • Proactively identify potential production hurdles and work to implement time saving processes.
  • Maintain/create master data, BOM’s, and operations for all products using SAP.
  • Analyze and investigate costing discrepancies to verify accuracy.
  • Work with home office data analysis team to resolve SAP issues.
