Requirements
- 10+ or more years of experience in civil engineering drafting, ideally in water, wastewater, facility, or Water Resources domain.
- Technical degree, certification or similar in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience working with engineers and senior designers.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast–paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlines.
- Have a working knowledge of CAD standards, features, and annotation styles, line styles, sheet set manager, and drawing setup.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing multi-step tasks.
- Willingness to expand capabilities.
- Ability to work in a team and work well with others.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Use Autodesk Civil 3D to perform accurate drafting and annotation for plan, profile, and detail sheets for various public work projects, including: water resources, drainage, pump stations/lift stations, water, wastewater, reuse water, paving, etc.
- Complete construction plan sets by compiling all plan and profiles, notes, and detail sheets to present a comprehensive design.
- Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements.
- Coordinating and reviewing design drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper standards are followed.
- Able to lead and teach others in Civil 3D
- Manage small production teams
