CAD Designer 1
About The Position
The CAD Designer 1 creates accurate erection drawings that visually represent EFCO forming systems for sales, manufacturing, and field operations. The role supports project objectives while developing technical expertise in drafting, EFCO equipment, and engineering principles. The designer creates basic erection drawings for standard and custom projects under supervision, assists with equipment list setup and adjustments, and participates in training and mentorship to improve product knowledge and CAD skills. The role works out of the company's Avondale, Arizona location. Additional duties may be assigned or changed at management's discretion to meet organizational goals and priorities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in basic CAD software.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to regularly perform job functions at the company office or designated worksite.
- Ability to withstand environmental conditions such as extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, and noise.
Nice To Haves
- Drafting coursework.
- REVIT and AutoCAD experience.
- Construction or engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Create basic erection drawings for standard and custom projects under supervision.
- Follow EFCO procedures, collaborate with engineers, and validate design details to ensure drawing clarity and accuracy.
- Assist with equipment list setup and adjustments for assigned jobs.
