About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Design & Building Information Management (BIM) Engineer to work on the Space Planning Team at NASA Headquarters. The role involves hands-on use of Autodesk Revit to create architectural and related-discipline 3D BIM models, families, and components, primarily in Base and Tenant Models. The position supports space planning and interior design by preparing tenant floor plans and 3D renderings for review and approval, developing furniture and demountable-wall service orders, and integrating furniture and equipment specifications into the Revit database. It also involves modeling building structures, spaces, finishes, specialty spaces, equipment, and reflected ceiling plans, as well as calculating BOMA space areas. The candidate will work with the Space Planning Team within the NASA Mission Support Headquarters Operations Office in an open-architecture environment. The team is primarily teleworking. NASA will provide a laptop and related project software.
