About The Position

As a CAD Administrator IV on Dexcom’s Engineering Enablement team, you will independently support and optimize CAD and PDM environments for multidisciplinary engineering teams. This advanced individual-contributor role promotes CAD best practices, data integrity, standardized workflows, and scalable use of engineering design tools. You will collaborate with Engineering, IT, PLM, Procurement, and software vendors to resolve complex issues, guide users and other administrators, maintain software licensing, and improve engineering design workflows. You will own CAD and PDM administration, including system configuration, troubleshooting, user support, and license management. You will support engineering data practices such as user access, configuration, workflow support, version control, and integration with PLM and related systems. As a technical escalation point, you will coordinate practical resolutions to complex issues while protecting data integrity. You will manage support requests from intake through requester-confirmed closure, and coordinate license assignments, utilization monitoring, maintenance, and renewals. You will also lead improvements to CAD workflows, standards, tools, and support practices, and guide less-experienced administrators and users. The role typically requires 6–8 years of related experience and a high school diploma, certificate, or equivalent. Preferred education includes an associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or CAD/Drafting; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Engineering Technology; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Travel required: 0–5%.

  • Hands-on experience administering SolidWorks PDM environments, including CAD data management, user access, configuration, workflow support, and data integrity.
  • Understanding of engineering change processes, product-design workflows, engineering bills of materials, and CAD/PDM integration with PLM and manufacturing systems.
  • Typically 6–8 years of related experience and a high school diploma, certificate, or equivalent.
