About The Position

The Cabling Technician I will be responsible for installing and maintaining site cable infrastructure. This role involves supporting and installing building infrastructure cable requirements, performing basic cable termination, frame jumper connections, site surveys, and updating cable records. The technician will maintain cable systems through troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading cable infrastructure, as well as identifying, tracking, and removing abandoned cable. All newly installed or relocated cable must be tested in accordance with established procedures, and appropriate documentation must be maintained. The role also includes assisting with outside plant work and supporting the transport and transmission of carrier services.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience installing and maintaining site cable infrastructure.
• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of experience installing & maintaining site cable infrastructure
• Understanding of low-voltage systems and networking fundamentals
• Ability to work at heights (ladders) and in confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly
• Experience with structured cabling standards for inside and outside plants.

Nice To Haves

• Fiber optic splicing and testing experience
• Certification in Fiber Optics (FOA) or BICSI

Responsibilities
