About The Position

Total Site Solutions (TSS), Georgetown, TX. seeks a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Cable Technician Lead. The Cabling Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cabling installation projects across various sites within the United States. This role ensures that all cabling infrastructure is installed efficiently and safely, in compliance with industry standards and project specifications. The Cabling Lead coordinates with project managers, engineers, and technicians to plan and execute cabling layouts, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high-quality workmanship. This position plays a critical role in maintaining project timelines and budgets while ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly followed. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in cabling or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cabling installation with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, including fiber optics and copper cabling standards.
Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
The Cabling Lead utilizes technical expertise in structured cabling systems daily to plan and oversee installations that meet stringent quality and safety standards.
Leadership skills are essential for managing and motivating teams, ensuring that all members perform efficiently and adhere to project timelines.
Problem-solving abilities are frequently applied to troubleshoot installation challenges and implement effective solutions quickly.
Communication skills are critical for coordinating with project stakeholders, documenting progress, and providing clear instructions to technicians.
Proficiency with technical documentation and project management tools supports accurate planning, reporting, and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise cabling installation teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
Develop detailed cabling plans and schedules in collaboration with project managers and engineers.

Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure seamless integration of cabling systems.
