This is a Cable Technician position focused on installing and managing network infrastructure. The role involves working both inside and outside data centers, laying out and installing various components like wireway, cable tray, switches, and receptacles. A key part of the job is building out closets, which includes mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware. The technician will also be responsible for grounding racks, equipment, and cables, and completing IDC connections such as terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels. The position requires operating tools and equipment that normally require two hands, such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers. The role also involves pulling wire and potentially overseeing conduit installations.
