Our work depends on a Cable Technician joining our team to installs, test, troubleshoots, repairs, and removes network cabling and its associated components. Performs layout, installation, termination, labeling, testing, and certification of all associated cabling and ensures compliance with program, industry and base standards.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science
2+ years of related experience
Coaxial Cabling, Ethernet Cabling, Signal Testing, Cable splicing and Troubleshooting.
Secret security clearance required
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and collaborative skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work.
Supports the timely escalation and communication of status to external and internal customers.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills applied to the development and presentation of technical materials appropriate to a broad spectrum of audiences.
Adept at interfacing with Government at senior leader levels and representing the interests of GDIT
US Citizenship Required

ITIL V3/4 Foundation or higher

Responsibilities

Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems
Installs, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and removes network cabling and its associated components.
Performs layout, installation, termination, labeling, testing, and certification of all associated cabling and ensures compliance with program, industry and base standards.
