This position is for a Cable Technician I responsible for low voltage experience and fiber knowledge. The role involves working both inside and outside buildings, including data centers. Responsibilities include installing wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and other devices. Technicians will also build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware. Additionally, they will install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable, and complete all IDC connections such as terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels. The job requires pulling wire and potentially overseeing and directing conduit installations and wire pulling. The technician will operate tools and equipment that normally require the use of two hands, such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.
