Requirements

Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval
Commercial Driver's License, Class A
Satisfactorily completed the FPL apprentice cable splicer or another equivalent recognized program.
Physically able to do all assigned tasks.
Able to work in direct sunlight or at night.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of two (2) years verifiable work experience as a Certified Cable Splicer

Responsibilities

Perform all associated tasks with the construction and maintenance of all underground facilities.
Troubleshoot and repair all underground distribution circuits and equipment.
Work alone or be assigned to work with other Splicers or lower classifications without the direct supervision of a higher level classification.
Safely perform all distribution underground switching and overhead switching as needed.
May be required to work in inclement weather for extended hours.
May be required to travel throughout the system in cases of emergencies and storms to restore the system.
Be responsible for all assigned work being done in accordance with all company design standards and work methods.
Prepare all job associated paperwork.
