Requirements

Bachelors degree and 8–12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6–10 years of prior relevant experience.
Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Ability to multi-task well.
Experience working with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and technicians to develop a build strategy and identify any problems that could occur during assembly.
Knowledge of the tools used for assembly (crimpers, strippers, insertion) and the proper techniques required to use these tools.
Basic experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing documentation.
Basic computer skills associated with these assembly tasks (such as retrieving the manufacturing documentation from the system, updating the system as router steps are completed, etc.).
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a final secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Costpoint Material Planning software and/or Windchill product lifecycle management software.
Experience with software that maintains bills of materials, and other engineering design data.
Experience with electronics used on launch vehicles, targets, or missile components, and with production of cable harnesses, electronics, and electromechanical assemblies.
Ability to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents, and other documents used to support proposal efforts.
Experience in various quality roles.
Experience in using Manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Electronic component handling requirements and ESD procedures.
Current or prior certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Knowledge of assembly and inspection requirements for Micro-D solder cups in cable assemblies.
Experience with leading, executing, and implementing automated equipment within a cable manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and ensure manufacturing processes/work instructions are simple, clear, robust, error-proofed, and repeatable.
Prepare process flows and assembly work instructions for assembly technicians using an MES system (i.e. Solumina).
Support the implementation of change orders and deviations.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities in support of developing procedures/work instructions that will lead to follow-on production.
Work closely with our quality team to develop processes that validate customer quality requirements.
Work closely with production control to meet desired delivery schedule of design team.
