Cable Installation Technician
About The Position
This is a contract-to-hire position for a reliable individual willing to learn the installation of fire alarms in a warehouse environment. The role involves heavy lifting and comfort with heights. The technician will be responsible for pulling cable, taking direction, installing fire alarms, wearing proper PPE, and assisting with cleanup. This is an opportunity to perform at a level where a full-time offer may be extended. Qualified candidates will have experience pulling cable, splicing fiber, and mounting enclosures. The role requires the physical installation of communications hardware, including fiber optics cabling and electronic devices, to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness, while maintaining a professional and safe working atmosphere.

Responsibilities
- Data, voice, video, and fiber optic cable placement
- Wire termination, data, voice, video and fiber optic cables
- Multi-conductor copper and fiber optic splicing
- Data, voice and video hardware installation
- Provide proper care and maintenance of company and customer owned equipment
- Full compliance of company and customer’s safety programs
- Maintains a clean working environment
- Operation of power tools, drills, saws, vehicles, and man lifts
- Operation of cable testing equipment for data and fiber optic cables
- Pulling cable
- Install fire alarms
- Wear proper PPE requirements
- Helps clean up
