SAIC is seeking a Cable Fabrication Technician II for their North Charleston, SC customer site. This role involves performing cable fabrication work for multiple government projects, requiring the ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and cable run sheets. The technician will assemble various types of cables and harnesses to specifications, including multi-pin connectors, MIL-SPEC cylindrical connectors, back-shells, RF cables, CAT5/6 cables, and power/ground cables. Responsibilities also include performing continuity, insulation resistance, and basic electrical testing, as well as utilizing and maintaining crimp tools, heat guns, and various electrical and mechanical hand tools. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain IPC/WHMA-A-620 Specialist Certification and to work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements, all while adhering to applicable workmanship standards and quality requirements.
