Cable Department Manager-Nashville
About The Position
Leads the Cable and Power department, supports operations, manages the team, and maintains a schedule for incoming/outbound shows. This role is responsible for managing the department within the warehouse, forecasting upcoming shows and transfers, preparing and returning show equipment, and ensuring items are packaged and labeled appropriately for transportation or based on show requirements. The manager will work with operations to address substitutions or shortages, receive sub-rented items, create shipping manifests or carnets, and oversee the maintenance, re-coiling, testing, repair, and upkeep of cable inventory. Additionally, the role involves organizing cable inventory, returning QC'd inventory to stock storage, building specialized looms, assisting with equipment delivery to docking stations, loading/unloading trucks, restocking delivered equipment, documenting service in the inventory system, reporting damaged equipment, and keeping detailed records of maintenance, QC, and repairs. This position also handles inventory management and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to lead a team and review work
- Ability to maintain schedules and assign work to ensure all deadlines within the department are met
- Ability to teach team members how to properly QC equipment
- Solid knowledge of R2
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to spend long periods standing or moving in a 70,000+ square foot warehouse
- Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching frequently
- Certified to drive sit-down and standup forklifts

- Helps load and unload trucks when needed
- Assists in restocking delivered equipment in various locations throughout the warehouse
- Documents service in the inventory system
- Reports all damaged equipment to operations
- Keeps detailed records of maintenance, QC, and items entered into repair
- Handles inventory management
