About The Position

This is a Temp To Full-Time Position for a Cable Cutter. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 6:30 pm, with training from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The role is responsible for supplying Fiber and/or Copper cable to support production work cells by performing duties involved in receiving, stocking, and issuing cable. This position works under moderate supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum three months related experience and/or training
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Ability to take an active role in recommending and implementing continuous improvements in production
• Ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

Responsibilities

• Supports production work cells by pulling and cutting all cable materials necessary to complete shop orders
• Measures and cuts cable to required length using hand tools and/or cable cutting machine
• Communicates with cell lead and assemblers to determine schedule of work for pulling materials
• Systematically issue raw material to work orders
• Organizes material racks as needed for optimum efficiency
• Responsible for cable inventory accuracy
• Perform periodically cycle count of cable material
• Comply with all established safety procedures and policies
