About The Position

Closets By Design is a leading provider of custom storage solutions, designing and manufacturing high-quality closets, home offices, garages, pantries, laundry rooms, and other organizational systems. We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Vision Operator / Cut-List Programmer to support our manufacturing operations by transforming approved designs into accurate production-ready documentation and CNC programs. The Cabinet Vision Operator / Cut-List Programmer is responsible for engineering custom projects for manufacturing, generating cut lists, CNC programs, and production documentation, while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company standards. This position works closely with designers, production staff, and installation teams to ensure projects are completed on time and to customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Cabinet Vision software.
  • Experience generating cut lists and CNC programs in a cabinet or closet manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cabinet construction, woodworking materials, and hardware systems.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings, floor plans, and design specifications.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in custom closet, cabinetry, or millwork manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Screen-to-Machine (S2M) Center.
  • Experience operating or programming CNC routers.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production scheduling.
  • Lean manufacturing or process improvement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Convert approved designs into production-ready Cabinet Vision drawings and manufacturing documents.
  • Generate accurate cut lists, material reports, hardware reports, and shop documentation.
  • Create and maintain CNC machine programs using Cabinet Vision and S2M Center.
  • Review orders for completeness, accuracy, and manufacturability before releasing to production.
  • Verify dimensions, materials, hardware selections, and construction methods.
  • Optimize layouts and material usage to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with designers to resolve design and engineering discrepancies.
  • Support production and installation teams by providing technical guidance when needed.
  • Maintain Cabinet Vision libraries, machining operations, and company manufacturing standards.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and productivity.
