About The Position

The Aircraft Cabinet Technician is responsible for following instructions given by the Production Manager to execute all cabinetry and aircraft interior builds successfully. The goal is to efficiently design and manufacture components and systems that are safe, innovative, and of high quality. The Aircraft Electrical Technician will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company’s customers are exceeded.

  • Individual contributor that is generally self-sufficient and requires little to no supervisor input to complete tasks assigned.
  • Trains other technicians on correct use of tools and processes.
  • Possesses an extensive toolbox and experience on proper use of Air Drills, Rivet guns, Routers, Cleco pliers, Clecos, Microstop Countersinks, Rivet squeezers, pencil grinders.
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum three years related manufacturing and/or installation experience, or Minimum two years related aerospace manufacturing and/or installation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Understand cutaway and detail views.
  • Operate machines such as drill presses, shears, Table saw, planer, joiner, mixing scales and measuring tools such as scales and calipers.
  • Identify various types of honeycomb and composite thicknesses.
  • Use hands and power tools to shape and smooth honeycomb and to blend seams.
  • Operate equipment to cut parts with straight, angle and miter cuts.
  • Capable of reading and understanding decimal scale and use of scales, protractors, and calipers.
  • Understand and locate revision levels on drawings, specifications, and materials.
  • Maintain documentation such as work orders and parts tags.
  • Layout cut lines, bend lines and hole locations for inserts in honeycomb panels.
  • Proper drilling (proper hole sizes) and countersinking for the installation of various rivets and hardware fasteners.
  • Potting inserts.
  • Pinning honeycomb.
  • Mortise and tenon.
