About The Position

ICD, a J. Gibson McIlvain Company, has been creating custom architectural millwork since 1959, specializing in custom cabinets, doors, pergolas, and exterior millwork. We serve clients nationwide and in the Caribbean. Our partnership with J. Gibson McIlvain provides access to high-quality lumber and ensures quality control. We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to create practical and aesthetically pleasing cabinets according to foreman specifications. This role requires building and mathematical skills to meet specific guidelines and collaboration with the building team. Requirements

A minimum of 2 or more years of custom cabinetmaking experience.
GED or High School Diploma or higher.
Monday-Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm schedule availability.
Ability to read and construct from printed shop drawings.
Understanding of necessary mathematics and use of measurements down to the 1/16th.
Knowledge of materials and processing.
Applicable engineering and design skill.
High attention to detail.
Safety conscience attitude and experience.
Strong work ethic with the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Must work well as a team member.
Highly organized and strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the field of inventory/warehouse.

Responsibilities

Construct and assemble cabinet components and doors, ensuring they fit specified dimensions.
Verify calculations and use blueprints or design plans for alignment of doors, hinges, and side panels.
Clean and repair equipment such as handsaws, table saws, skill saws, drills, and sanding tools.
Ensure precise measurements and markings for efficient material use and adherence to budget.
Install hardware, including hinges, handles, and drawer slides.
Match materials and grains for a uniform appearance.
Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and organizing the workspace and disposing of old materials.
