Cabinet Maker / Carpenter – Trade Shows & Experiential / Events Addison, IL / Onsite This is hands-on fabrication work for someone who enjoys building custom pieces, solving problems in the shop, and working alongside a strong production team. You’ll help fabricate high-end exhibit environments for major healthcare, technology, and consumer brands seen at trade shows and live events across the country. No two builds are the same. One week could involve detailed cabinetry and millwork, the next could be large-scale exhibit structures and custom installations.

Requirements

  • Experience in carpentry, cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, or fabrication
  • Ability to read measurements and work from drawings
  • Pride in craftsmanship and finished quality
  • Reliable work ethic and team-first mentality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Nice To Haves

  • Trade show, exhibit, or experiential fabrication experience
  • Custom build or scenic shop experience
  • Knowledge of large-scale branded environments or live events

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details
  • Cut, assemble, sand, laminate, and finish custom components
  • Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
  • Build with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Work closely with designers, project managers, and fellow fabricators
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, safety-first shop environment
