About The Position

Leader Ambulance, part of Terex Corporation, manufactures Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 ambulances in Southern California, with a focus on safety, quality, and innovation. The Cabinet Maker I assembles wood cabinets from engineering drawings using a variety of tools and equipment. The role includes fabricating and installing cabinet components and hardware, laminating cabinets and panels, maintaining quality and safety standards, and working with minimal supervision. The position is based on the production floor and may also involve work in a paint booth.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, layouts, and other written or verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to read and use a linear measuring device and other measuring devices.
• Familiarity with drills, screw guns, table saws, band saws, routers, and various other tools.
• Ability to use basic mathematics.
• Ability to perform operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
• Ability to recognize expected quality and reproduce it.
• Close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings using a variety of tools and equipment.
• Install and fabricate cabinet components and hardware.
• Assist in training cabinet makers at all skill levels.
• Laminate cabinets and panels as needed.
• Meet QA and QC standards for each task.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Meet safety and 5S standards.
• Promote the use and application of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools.
• Comply with conduct and attendance rules in the company handbook.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
