About The Position

Kitchen Tune-Up Gilbert and Chandler is seeking an experienced Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter to join their team. This role serves clients in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek, and the surrounding East Valley. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, works independently, communicates effectively, and takes ownership of their work. Professionalism and respect for homeowners are crucial, as installers spend significant time in clients' homes. Projects include cabinet refacing, redooring, and new cabinet installation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of cabinet installation, finish carpentry, or related remodeling experience
  • Strong measuring, installation, assembly, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your responsibilities on the jobsite
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable communicating directly with homeowners
  • Standard tools for cabinetry and finish work preferred; additional tools provided as needed
  • Reliable vehicle capable of transporting your tools
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform typical installation and demolition work, including kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, and working on your feet

Nice To Haves

  • Refacing experience is a plus, but not required. We understand that refacing is a specialized skill and will train an experienced cabinet installer or finish carpenter in our process.

Responsibilities

  • Demolition and removal of existing cabinetry, trim, and other project materials as needed
  • Assembling cabinets in our warehouse when they arrive unassembled and assisting with loading/unloading cabinets for project delivery and installation
  • Installing new cabinetry, including leveling, securing, aligning, and making necessary field adjustments
  • Preparing existing cabinets and installing refacing materials on cabinet boxes, frames, and finished ends
  • Preparing and painting existing cabinet boxes as part of our redooring projects
  • Installing cabinet doors, drawer fronts, hinges, hardware, crown molding, trim, fillers, panels, and toe kicks
  • Installing cabinet accessories and organizational products
  • Completing finish work, adjustments, and project punch lists
  • Troubleshooting issues in the field and communicating with our team and homeowners when something needs attention
