About The Position

Precision Cabinets is looking for an experienced Cabinet Finisher III to join our Swing Shift Production Team. This position is responsible for applying high-quality finishes to custom cabinetry and related wood products using professional spray equipment. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of professional spray finishing experience. Experience can come from cabinet/wood finishing, automotive painting, or a similar spray-finishing environment. Candidates should be comfortable using spray equipment and have a strong understanding of surface preparation, coating application, and producing a clean, consistent finish.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional spray finishing or painting experience in a production, manufacturing, automotive, or similar environment.
  • Previous experience in cabinet finishing, automotive painting, furniture finishing, or other professional spray applications.
  • Experience setting up and operating professional spray guns and equipment, including making adjustments for different materials and finishes.
  • Strong attention to detail with an understanding of surface preparation and the ability to consistently produce clean, smooth, high-quality finishes.
  • Reliable and safety-conscious with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production/shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cabinet parts and wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, masking, and inspecting materials to ensure they are ready for application.
  • Apply paint, stain, primer, clear coats, and other finishes using professional spray equipment while maintaining even coverage and a consistent appearance.
  • Set up, operate, adjust, and clean spray guns and related equipment to ensure proper performance and finish quality throughout production.
  • Mix and prepare paints, stains, and other finishing materials according to job requirements, colors, and finish specifications.
  • Inspect completed parts for runs, uneven coverage, or other imperfections, complete touch-ups as needed, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Highly dependable and able to consistently work the Swing Shift schedule (3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.), with flexibility to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as business needs require.
