Under general supervision, prepares and applies finishes to aircraft furniture using aircraft specifications, designs and engineering drawings with a high level of safety, quality, detail and productivity. Assists team members with greater experience to enhance techniques supportive of quality workmanship. This role involves preparing furniture for finish and disassembly using blueprints, aircraft specifications and design/engineering drawings. It also includes performing high-quality repairs to various finished surfaces in the shop and aboard aircraft, cleaning and polishing blemishes, and applying finish to furniture using spray equipment and other manual/mechanical methods. The position requires the use of various materials and tools, compliance with safety and housekeeping policies, and the use of personal protective equipment. Additionally, it involves using a material tracking system for parts demand, squawks, and work sign-offs. The role also includes working with lead technicians to develop process improvements and performing other assigned duties.
