With direct supervision, learns and performs the basic skills and functions related to aircraft cabinet finish preparation and application processes using design and engineering drawings. This role involves learning entry-level technical skills, regulatory requirements, and tooling used in the Cabinet Finish shop. The goal is to develop technical competency and problem-solving abilities to progress to the technician level. The position requires proficiency in preparing and finishing furniture using standard safety and operating procedures, design/engineering drawings, tools, and various materials such as sandpaper, polishes, adhesives, solvents, and masking mediums. Additionally, the role involves using a material tracking system for parts demand, squawk tracking, and work sign-offs, while strictly adhering to safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using personal protective equipment, and ensuring aircraft interior protection.
