About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse staff operations, equipment, and inventory. This role involves dispatching and assigning equipment (MEI and rentals) and tools to crews based on job requirements, including scheduling equipment repairs. The position also requires the completion of all paperwork related to equipment maintenance, issues, and repairs, as well as the ordering of permits.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum 2 years’ warehouse supervisory experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years proven dispatching experience or comparable logistics coordination experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in Microsoft Office applications i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Machinery Equipment Operations experience.
  • Logistics experience to interface with transportation companies.
  • Familiarity with OSHA DOT regulations.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising all activities related to shipping and receiving, including receiving, inspecting, storing, packaging, and shipping of customer equipment. Ensuring all inbound or outbound damages are properly documented and communicated.
  • Scheduling all incoming loads and assigning appropriate appointment times.
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents, and ensuring all inbound and outbound deliveries are logged into the MEI portal correctly, in full, and in a timely manner.
  • Leading and motivating the assigned team of associates, providing guidance, training, and delegating tasks to ensure optimal daily performance. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and secure working environment for all employees.
  • Maintaining the condition of the warehouse in a manner consistent with the company’s standards.
  • Developing and implementing efficient yard layouts and processes to optimize storage space and shipping-receiving operations. Conducting regular inspections of the yard, stored equipment, and heavy lifting handling equipment to maintain operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Driving performance and developing the warehouse team in a manner consistent with the Continuous Improvement process.
  • Interacting with customers, drivers, vendors, auditors, and visitors in a manner consistent with MEI’s mission and policy statements.
  • Monthly reporting.
  • Overseeing the process of preparing, organizing, and distributing all required paperwork to appropriate groups (crew, accounting, operations management) related to the job, change orders, assignment of crew and equipment, safety, JHAs (job hazard analysis), and equipment repairs & inspections.
  • Maintaining issues and repairs of company-owned equipment.
  • Reviewing, editing, and adjusting labor hours in the electronic timekeeping system (ADP), preparing final review and approval by the manager.
  • Updating the dispatch job board daily by adding and canceling pending and confirmed jobs.
  • Communicating daily with job foremen and drivers for efficiency of scheduling and dispatch.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
