The Cabin Interiors Technician III has less than 5 years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance. This is an ideal position for new graduates from Technical or A & P school. The role involves the removal, disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and reinstalling of aircraft cabin furnishings and equipment such as galleys, lavatories, seats, overhead compartments, panels, and carpeting. The technician will also repair, adjust, and install aircraft seats, and perform complex cabin reconfigurations. This position requires the ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering documents, service bulletins, aircraft manuals, and catalogs. General knowledge of tools, including the ability to read a micrometer, depth gauge, or dial calipers, is necessary. The technician must identify interior fasteners, determine grip lengths, and understand basic installation methods and sealing procedures for aircraft structures. Identifying pressurized areas, opening and closing aircraft areas for inspection, and ensuring work meets FAA and customer standards are key responsibilities. The role also emphasizes continuous learning, maintaining a clean work area, proper time recording, strict adherence to safety procedures and company policies, and asset preservation. Attending training and performing other assigned tasks are also part of the job.
