About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented C-UAS Field Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, VA! In this role, you will provide direct technical support to our client’s C-UAS program, delivering expert engineering advice on the operation, training, maintenance, and deployment of C-UAS Radio Frequency, Electro-Optical, Acoustic, Interceptor, and software systems. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will lead system selection efforts, support test & evaluation, and provide project planning and technical support for the fielding of C-UAS capabilities across the program.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science (12+ years minimum experience) — OR — associate’s degree/Technical Certification (fifteen years minimum experience).
Practical experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting communication systems, electronic warfare systems, radars, electro-optical sensors, and networking.
Practical experience with RF cable fabrication, RF spectrum deconfliction, and RF test equipment.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License.
CompTIA Linux+ certification.
Willingness to travel domestically and overseas (up to 30%) for installation support.
Secret clearance required with Top Secret eligible.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with software defined radios in the forms of receivers, transmitters, and radars.
Self-starter experience communicating with vendors and government stakeholders.
Ability to translate complex technical processes for audiences at all levels of expertise.

Responsibilities

Supporting engineering analysis efforts related to system selection and site deployments.
Analyzing requirements, developing acquisition documentation, and supporting configuration management of documentation.
Supporting the test & evaluation of C-UAS improvements from testing facilities through the completion of document review.
Providing engineering project planning and technical support for the fielding of the various C-UAS capabilities.
Assisting in the development of training curriculum.
Participating in maintenance procedure development.
Participating in technical documentation reviews and modifications.
Performing maintenance operations support, including screening and repairing electronic equipment, installing software, and installation/de-installation of equipment on vehicles, ground stations, and aerial vehicles.
