About The Position

We are seeking a Doctrine Writer to research, develop, and write military doctrines, strategies, and operational plans for JIATF 401 approval. This role requires a deep understanding of military operations, strategic planning, and the ability to translate complex military concepts into clear, concise, and actionable doctrine documents. You will collaborate with military experts, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other stakeholders to ensure that doctrines are aligned with current and future military objectives.

Requirements

  • Active TS//SCI Security Clearance.
  • Requires completion of formal military intelligence school or IC equivalent school/training.
  • BA/BS and 4+ years of experience; AA/AS with 8+ years; HS/GED with 10+ years of recent specialized experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of threat device engineering and function.
  • Expert understanding of C-UAS layered defense.
  • Proven ability to integrate UAS and C-UAS TTPs into operational and intelligence planning.
  • The ability to identify UAS to provide analysis to identify trends on target devices and TTPs.
  • Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills as well as briefing skills to include the ability to clearly articulate information to different audiences.
  • Ability to generate/provide specialized analytical and technical products.
  • Proficient in utilizing specialized tools to create final products.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and ability to perform analysis on the latest Commercial Based Technologies (CBT) and Emerging Technologies that could be utilized by advisories and articulate how use of that CBT would affect DoD capability.
  • Detailed understanding of various UAS platforms (aerial, ground, maritime).
  • Knowledge of C-UAS detection, tracking, and mitigation technologies.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic spectrum operations related to C-UAS.

Responsibilities

  • Research, draft, revise, and maintain military doctrine, operational concepts, strategies, and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of current and emerging UAS threats, technologies, and operational trends to inform doctrine development.
  • Evaluate existing doctrine and operational procedures to identify gaps, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with military units, government agencies, and coalition partners to ensure doctrine products remain operationally relevant and effective.
  • Facilitate working groups, planning sessions, and SME engagements to gather feedback and incorporate operational lessons learned.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize operational data, threat reporting, and technological developments to support strategic recommendations.
  • Develop concise reports, briefings, presentations, and visual aids for senior military and government leadership.
  • Support operational planning efforts through doctrine integration, mission analysis, and strategic assessments.
  • Monitor developments in military strategy, international relations, and emerging technologies to ensure doctrine remains current and adaptive.
  • Recommend process improvements and best practices to enhance doctrine development efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and version control for doctrine development and review processes.
  • Ensure all doctrine products comply with security regulations, operational guidance, and organizational standards.
  • Operate effectively in dynamic, high-tempo environments with shifting priorities and short deadlines.
