About The Position

Under the Supervision of the lead technologist, the technologist will follow established policies, perform established CT protocols, venipuncture, tele-radiography, complete routine clerical tasks and assist patients. The technologist will apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient’s illness or injury.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and Computerized Tomography.
Massachusetts DPH Radiation Control License in Radiologic Technology and Computerized Tomography.
Venipuncture certification (provided from the institution during the 12-week probationary period).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in CT, preferably in a hospital environment.
Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.
Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing as needed.
High level of technical and informatics knowledge and skill.
Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including required work hours, locations and physical demands, without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the work place, and with or without reasonable accommodation.

Siemens and Toshiba experience.
Synapse/PACS experience.
Meditech experience.
Previous Cerner experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Follow established policies and perform established CT protocols.

Perform tele-radiography.
Complete routine clerical tasks.
Assist patients.
Apply prescribed ionizing radiation to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
Perform venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of the radiologist.
Follow all hospital and departmental contrast administration policies and procedures.
