Make a difference with Lapeer County Medical Care Facility otherwise known as Suncrest. We are a 202 bed skilled nursing facility with over 400 employees! We offer a caring and organized work environment that invests in our employees. Suncrest is a 202 bed skilled nursing facility serving those residents who need long-term care and extensive rehabilitation. Lapeer County Medical Care Facility features a 32 bed secure Dementia Unit with special programming for the Alzheimer’s residents. Also, on the facility grounds, is a State of Michigan license child care learning center, licensed for 49 children ranging from two months to six years old. This child care center serves not only employee’s children, but is also open to the public.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Must have a Valid Michigan CNA Certification or Certificate of CNA Course Completion
  • Must be able to successfully pass physical examination and background check.
  • Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against current certification.
  • High School graduate preferred
  • Must be able to read, follow oral directions and write legibly
  • Must pass nurse aide training module, clinical skills exam, and written state exam to be competency evaluated
  • Must be honest, trustworthy and possess tolerance for all individuals
  • Must have good physical and mental health. You will fill out an employee health history
  • Must have visual and hearing acuity to observe changes in resident’s condition
  • Tasks assigned to this position involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood or body fluids
  • Bend, twist, and stoop on a regular basis and be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily nursing report along with daily electronic documentation
  • Assist residents with daily personal hygiene activities, turning, lifting, positioning and transporting residents
  • Observe and report changes in residents' condition
  • Work with a high quality, collaborative team.
