C.N.A./Shower Aide
About The Position
The Center at Tucson is looking to hire a CNA/Shower Aide now! This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, with anticipated hours of 8am-4:30pm and some flexibility. The role involves providing each patient with routine bathing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisor. The Center at Tucson is a skilled nursing facility that serves patients needing physical rehabilitation and/or complex nursing care. Requirements
- Must possess a current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC).
- Must possess a current and valid C.N.A. license.
- Must possess a current and valid CPR certification.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements, and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- 1 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting for duty.
- Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.
- Complete daily showers for patients.
- Document care and patient refusals.
- Maintain intake and output records as instructed.
- Report injuries of an unknown source, including skin tears.
